Used to be a good app

I used to use and recommend this app; but can no longer do so. Starting a couple of updates ago, I started getting the authentication issues and even after contacting the developer could not resolve the issue ( he could not duplicate it). Im sure that Im ever ring the user name and password correctly, as I can manually enter them on my laptop and access my newsgroups.
